Something like Nepal extremes I had some liked them, but were a bit too small.
I already have lighter general mountaineering type I want stiff ones for wearing with my touring board into iceclimbing.
If anyone has some second hand let me know.
Cheers

| By touring board do you mean split snowboard? If you haven't tried this before with climbing boots I'd be pretty wary, especially if riding anything particularly hardpacked/tight. |

I rode in my Nepal extreme Leather boots all the time on my split board.
They were comfier for the walking part, as long as they are high enough to stop binding pressing on you at the back.
Not as good as the snow board boots for the boarding esp. on the front edge in hard conditions. In powder it's hardly noticable and the trip into Climbing area's tends to be easy terrain (Or i choose it with a heavy pack) and the lack of precison is counteracted by the convenience of one pair of footwear. |

Sounds like you have it sussed then! I've seen it go pretty pear-shaped a couple of times. The Nepals are pretty flexy in the uppers yea?
FWIW my Salomon Dialogues are almost 1/2 the weight of my climbing boots (not that they are anything flash), Salomon F22's are freakin incredible! It'd be awesome to see someone bring out a dedicated snowboard/climbing crossover boot. I think it could be done pretty well with a bit of thought put in. |

| Nepals are probbly flexi if you have a big foot but my UK 5 feet and 50 odd kilo's didn't move them much at all. |
